A day with no electricity.

A day I never dreamed of, I never imagined of. A day people least expect in USA, a day without electricity.

Yesterday's thunder storm brought my life to a darkness. A day without laptop, without wifi, without AC in summer, without any light in bath room...Hmm total darkness around.

Very rare in any part of the world these days, a day passes with no electricity. Then how would the olden days be, when there was no term called electricity existing?

Candle light dinners every day...! Whole night passes in candle light..! They must had been sleeping very early, no wonder there was nothing to do in that dark. Well, they at least had sound sleep for hours.

What brought electricity in this world???
Not just the light to darkness, but sleepless nights to us. I personally sit in front of the notebook for long hours without sleeping. I watch some movie or some TV serial,or will do something since there is light. Thereby sleep very late and when waking up in the morning I blame myself for not sleeping early. The next day the same routine continues...I don't sleep early and I don't stop blaming.

Since there is light every corner of the world, restaurants has come with the term candle light dinner. Gave it a hype, made it a business trade mark.

I wonder where science and technology is leading us?? There used to be free candle light dinners when there was no power and now despite paying the power bill I'm paying for candle light dinner.

In my opinion, we might be creating complications than comforts with science and technology.
